The september note.

Hey, hi, hello,

You know the go by now, but I will never not say some variation of this line. I hope August treated you well. I have a little section of my planner where I write about any event or happening that stood out to me. Now that I think of it these may also be a part of my buzzing thoughts as well. For most of them I create a simple line that I can share with you guys, for some they are raw, completely exposed wanderings of TheBdrops mind.. So September's note is a compilation from my weekly planner, yes you are so lucky aren’t you.

Enjoy!

FYI, they might contradict one another, but that’s not irregular to human-kind:

Dec 15:

Lean into what you love.

Dec 29:

Keep yourself accountable.

Dec 12:

Give yourself time.

Jan 19:

Just do the course.

Jan 26:

The more organised you are, the more free time you have.

Feb 2:

Making it fun gets it done.

Feb 9:

Brain dump every chance you get.

Feb 16:

Be the person you need.

Feb 23:

It takes time to figure it out on your own, just keep moving forward.

Mar 2:

Keep a playful mind, and don’t hide it!

Mar 9:

The greatest can start anywhere.

Maybe just have the coffee.

Mar 23:

Look after yourself, especially when you’re busy.

Live your life and visit home often.

Building yourself is a matter of accepting the need for change and that you’ll slip up on the road to your new life.

Just get the work done.

Apr 20:

Before you know it, change will make itself seen.

It’s for locking in babes.

The struggle is real when you’re taking the easy route. Not you, never you.

Show them what you’ve got.

May 18:

Call your mum.

Work when they need you, don’t offer time you don’t have.

Jun 1:

Make sure there’s enough.

Jun 8:

Maintain your ****ing cup.

Jun 15:

Experience your feelings.

Jun 22:

Are you a hamster in a wheel?

Jun 29:

Allow yourself the time and space to enjoy simple things. To enjoy others and their creations. May that be a book, song, game or garden.

Jul 6:

I hope I’m remembered fondly. Life is weird, how is the middle ground between family and experiencing what your life’s potential formed or found? I feel an insane amount of guilt from time to time. What about you? (yeah this one is an over exposed one, bc I KNOW that I’m not the only one. Or at the very least I plead that I am NOT… anyway.

Jul 13:

Life keeps moving, even if you don’t notice, YOU ARE TOO.

Jul 20:

Each day we are provided the opportunity to expand our relationship with ourselves and others, what an absolute blessing.

Jul 27:

Take every day as it comes, remembering you have 24 hours, whatever you can do is done and the next day will still come. Stress is a silent evil, don’t over extend yourself <3

Aug 3:

Purchase what will benefit your life, think multipurpose often, but also allow yourself once and done. You deserve both.

Aug 10:

Ask questions, be curious, be determined. You are the one steering your ship after all, you need the knowledge.

Aug 17:

There’s no time like the moment you’re in. Sometimes we get caught in the whirl wind of wants, past moments, even the darn what if’s crowd the mind.

Aug 24:

Making things manually is so fun, bring it back honestly.

And that’s where we’re at, today is Wednesday and I do not summarise my weeks at half way. On that last one though, making things manually. This year I made birthday invites on Canva in a collage style and wow, while that’s not completely manual, it was actually so fun! Also, a little nerveracking,  because I didn't know how they’d be received, like what the reaction would be. I’ve never had birthday invitations, so I thought what the heck, there’s no better time than for your 25th lap to have a first. Let that be the first of many firsts. I enjoyed the process so much that I made some for my brother's birthday, which is a week after mine. Now, my latest sidequest has been making my dad a ‘mixtape’ (it’s a burnt CD) of all the songs he currently likes, and ones that my siblings and I grew up hearing boom out of my dad’s garage. These smaller tasks have been fun to commit my time to. Fun fact, I’ve been over two years sober now, the transition from adolescent to adult is truly something else. I’m glad I've had the opportunity to meet so many great people and grow through my experiences. It’s not something I usually talk about (and I talk a lot), but I felt so uncomfortable for an unbearable amount of time.

So thanks for sticking around.
